AC Repair & Heating Service in Chickasaw, AL
Chickasaw is a small city with a lot of history. Many of its neighborhoods date to its shipbuilding days, and it sits right along Chickasaw Creek just north of Mobile. Many homes here have been well loved for generations, and older houses often come with their own heating and cooling quirks.
Estes Heating & Air has been fixing those quirks since 1982. We're a family-owned HVAC company based in Mobile, serving Chickasaw and the surrounding north Mobile County communities with honest repairs, careful installations, and dependable maintenance.
AC Repair for Chickasaw Homes
Whether your system is two years old or twenty, we repair all makes and models. Common problems we fix:
• AC not cooling or blowing warm air
• Frozen evaporator coils
• Clogged or overflowing condensate drains
• Failed capacitors and motors
• Refrigerant leaks
• Thermostats that don't respond
Our technicians tell you what's wrong in plain language, give you the cost to fix it, and tell you whether it's worth fixing. We've never been a company that pushes a new system when a repair will do.
Comfort Solutions for Older Houses
Older homes weren't always built with central air in mind. Ductwork may have been added later, rooms may have been closed in or added on, and some spaces never seem to get enough air. We can help with:
• Ductwork service to fix leaks, poor airflow, and undersized runs
• Ductless mini-splits for rooms that central air doesn't reach well, like additions, enclosed porches, or converted garages
• Zone control to even out hot and cold spots
• Dehumidifiers for houses near the creek that tend to feel damp
Heating Repair and Safety Checks
When the first cold snap rolls in, we handle heat pump, furnace, and electric heat repairs. Older gas furnaces deserve extra attention. Every heating tune-up under the Estes Comfort Agreement includes checking the heat exchanger for cracks, inspecting burners, monitoring the flue draft, and testing safety controls.
Replacing an Aging System
- When a system reaches the end of its life, you'll usually see rising power bills, frequent repairs, and rooms that never feel right. Estes is an Amana® brand dealer, and we'll size and install a new air conditioner, heat pump, or furnace to fit your home, not just swap in the same size that was there before. Financing with approved credit is available through GoodLeap, Upgrade, and Regions.
Twice-a-Year Maintenance with the Estes Comfort Agreement
Sign up for the Estes Comfort Agreement and we'll contact you twice a year to schedule maintenance. Each visit includes a precision tune-up, cleaning, and safety inspection. Members also get priority service and 10% off repair services (parts and labor).
