WILMER, AL
Heating & Air Conditioning Service in Wilmer, AL
Out in western Mobile County, near the Mississippi line and along the US-98 corridor, Wilmer gives families room to breathe. Homes sit on bigger lots, there are plenty of trees, and the pace is a little slower than in town. When your heating or air conditioning acts up out here, you want a company that will make the drive and do the job right the first time.
Estes Heating & Air has served Mobile County since 1982. We're a family-owned HVAC company based in Mobile, and we take care of homes throughout western Mobile County, including Wilmer and nearby Semmes.
AC Repair in Wilmer
An air conditioner in a wooded, rural setting deals with its own set of problems. Leaves, pine straw, and pollen can clog the outdoor coil, and long run times in the summer wear out motors and capacitors. We repair all makes and models, and we commonly fix:
• AC units that won't start or won't cool
• Dirty or blocked condenser coils
• Bad capacitors, contactors, and fan motors
• Refrigerant leaks
• Clogged condensate drains causing water leaks
• Short cycling and frozen coils
Our technicians explain what they find and what your options are. If a repair makes more sense than a new system, we'll say so.
Heat Pumps and Heating Service
Many homes in this part of the county heat with a heat pump, while others use a gas furnace or electric heat. We repair, maintain, and install all three. Before winter, it pays to have your heat pump's defrost operation and backup heat strips checked so you aren't caught off guard by the first freeze.
Ductless Mini-Splits for Shops, Barns, and Additions
Wilmer properties often include a workshop, a detached garage, an addition, or a converted outbuilding. A ductless mini-split is an efficient way to heat and cool those spaces without running new ductwork. Each unit has its own control, so you only condition the space when you're using it.
Keeping Indoor Air Clean and Dry
- Pollen season in a wooded area can be rough, and south Alabama humidity doesn't take much of a break. Estes offers indoor air quality options that work with your existing system, including whole-home dehumidifiers, media air cleaners, UV air purifiers, and electronic air cleaners.
New System Installation
When your system reaches the end of the road, we'll help you choose the right replacement. Estes is an Amana® brand dealer and installs Amana air conditioners, furnaces, and heat pumps, including variable-speed, inverter-driven models. Every system is sized for your home.
Financing with approved credit is available through GoodLeap, Upgrade, and Regions.
